Nikki Bella has shared her thoughts regarding John Cena's rumored retirement following his lost to Roman Reigns at WWE No Mercy.
The "Total Divas" and "Total Bellas" star also commented on how Cena's blossoming acting career plays a role in his WWE schedule.
"Not that it's a full time thing, but he has all these other opportunities and sometimes you just need to let your body heal as well," she said.
Fans speculated that Cena was retiring from in-ring action Sunday when after his match with Reigns, the 16-time world champion stood in the ring and emotionally looked on into the crowd as he received a standing ovation.
Cena also saluted the live audience who had begun chanting, "Thank you Cena!""What I like is last night I really felt like he passed the torch and he's found that one guy, Roman Reigns, that can really do what he does and just like what The Rock did for John and Stone Cold [Steve Austin] did for them and so last night, I think we witnessed the torch being passed on," Bella said of Cena losing.
Following No Mercy on Raw Talk, Cena said he was not retiring from the WWE but that his role has changed within the company.
"If I had opportunities outside, great. If I didn't, I gotta know when to say when, at that point. And I'm not done, but I don't know if I can keep going at the pace that I've been going, and I think that's a major thing for me to try to consider. This is my family. This is my life. I eat, breathe, and sleep WWE. And I don't think anyone, whether they like me or they don't, I don't think anybody can argue that," Cena continued.
"So I guess I'll be like a weird Batman character. When they shine the light, I'll come a-runnin'."
