Pamela Anderson laments the fact that she allowed a minor leg injury to prevent her from participating in the judges' encore performance request that preceded her ouster during last night's live Dancing with the Stars' results show.

"I just hurt my leg a little bit. It's no big deal. I just was going to stay off it yesterday because it was an encore dance. But I could have done it," said Anderson during a Wednesday morning appearance on Good Morning America.

"I should have done. I was a little jealous seeing [professional Chelsie Hightower replace her], because it was a lot of fun."

The former Baywatch actress and professional partner Damian Whitewood became the sixth couple eliminated from Dancing with the Stars' tenth season during the live results show based on the combination of the judges' scores they had received during Monday night's performance show and home viewer votes that were cast afterward. 

Anderson had been courted to compete on the ABC reality competition since its first season said she decided finally to participate in the tenth edition because the timing was now right.

"I just decided to do it because it was good timing with my kids," she said.

In addition, Anderson said she no longer has a fear of dancing -- which was evident in previous performances on the show in which she channeled Marylin Monroe and Dolly Parton.

"I was just having fun with characters. It was like a little play every week," she explained. "To dance and to perform live, it was a great experience. It's a dream job."

Anderson said she and Whitewood "had a great time" together and the professional echoed her sentiments.

"It was fantastic," said Whitewood, who also participated in the GMA appearance. "I had a great time working with her, that's for sure."

Dancing with the Stars' tenth season represented Whitewood's first time on the show and he said he was most surprised by the "whole production side of it."

"Everything that goes on besides the dancing, it's such a huge production to be a part of," he explained.

With only five couples left in the competition, Whitewood said he thinks "the frontrunners are still there" -- a reference to weekly judges' leaderboard leaders Evan Lysacek and Nicole Scherzinger, who could battle it out for the mirror ball trophy in the finale.

"They're definitely leading the way," said Whitewood. "You've got Evan and Nicole, they're up there."

Anderson agreed that the final five couples deserve to be there.

"It is a dance competition, so the best dancers are going to win," she said. "I think they'll prevail in the end."

As for what's next, Anderson said it's time for a little rest and relaxation.

"I'm going to the beach," she said with a laugh.
