Paris Hilton isn't going quietly.

However during her sentencing hearing, Hilton told Los Angeles Superior Court judge Michael Sauer that her publicist Elliot Mintz "repeatedly informed" her she was allowed to drive for work-related reasons, People reported Monday, which is why she was behind the wheel when arrested in February.
"I told the truth," said Hilton outside of her home following her sentencing, Reuters reported Monday. "I feel that I was treated unfairly and that the [45-day jail sentence] is both cruel and unwarranted. I don't deserve this."
While the 26-year-old may not think she deserves to go to jail, she apparently believed Mintz deserved to get the ax, as he was fired by Hilton following Friday's sentencing decision. Mintz said he was "deeply and profoundly sorry" for giving Hilton bad advice, Reuters reported.
"Due to this misunderstanding, I am no longer representing Paris," said Mintz in a statement, according to Reuters. "For the record, I have nothing but love and respect for Paris and her family. Paris is a wonderful person and does not deserve the punishment that was handed down by the court. I only wish her my best."
Hilton must report to jail by Tuesday, June 5, slightly more than a week after The Simple Life's fifth season premiere on Monday, May 28 at 10PM ET/PT on E!. However her attorney Howard Weitzman said he plans on appealing "to modify the sentence," Reuters reported.
