Paris Hilton was charged with felony cocaine possession following her weekend arrest in Las Vegas, police documents indicate.
The officer's arresting report indicated the officer observed a substance "I believed to be cocaine in a clear baggy begin to fall from (Hilton's) purse and into my hand," People magazine reported Monday.
The heiress and U.S. socialite was removing a lip balm from her purse while being detained in a holding room at the Wynn Las Vegas hotel when the 0.8 grams of cocaine were spotted, the official said.
Hilton's purse also contained papers commonly used for rolling a marijuana cigarette and a broken tablet of Albuterol, commonly used by people with breathing problems during the search after a traffic stop late Friday, the police report said. Hilton's boyfriend, Cy Waits, a Las Vegas nightclub executive, also was arrested in the traffic stop.
Police pulled over the car on the famed Las Vegas Strip when an officer smelled marijuana from the vehicle.
