Nineteen-nineties TV and film icon Pauly Shore says he hopes his new reality show "Minding the Store" will revive his mom's business and jump-start his career.

Set to debut Sunday night on TBS, the show follows the "Son In Law" and "Encino Man" star as he lobbies for gigs and tries to breathe new life into his mother's legendary LA club, "The Comedy Store."
"It's about my life right now," Shore recently told UPI. "We just took it to an entertainment level."
Explaining he didn't want to stage a career comeback by appearing on a show that would exploit his failures rather than promote his talents, Shore added, "I wanted to do my own original thing."
The 37-year-old comedian and former MTV personality said he wants to make the club profitable while maintaining his mom Mitzi's vision of it as an "artists' colony."
