Peter Weber has announced he'll be hosting a new podcast "Bachelors in the City" with fellow The Bachelorette alum Dustin Kendrick about their lives as single men living and dating in New York City.

Peter and Dustin, who met on Hannah Brown's season of The Bachelorette, became roommates in the Big Apple a couple of months ago, and now they're ready to share their experiences in New York with their fans.

Launching through Acast on April 14, "Bachelors in the City" will reportedly not be just another The Bachelor-inspired podcast.

"We're not associated with the show at all with this podcast. This is just us," Peter, who starred on The Bachelor's 24th season, told Us Weekly.

"The main passion driving this was just to inspire people that maybe have had like-minded thoughts like us, like, wondering what would be like to live in the city."

Peter, 26, added, "We thought it'd be kind of cool to share our experiences with our following and just talk about why we love the city so much and bring out a lot of cool influential people that are in the city."

"Influential people" will reportedly include chefs, professional athletes, influencers and other members of Bachelor Nation and the arts community. (Peter and Dustin said they hope to record episodes live in their own apartment one day).

Peter said New York is "a really fun city" that "offers a sense of optimism" unlike many other cities or places in the world.

Peter, who split from Kelley Flanagan after a brief reconciliation in February, revealed he isn't "seriously dating" right now but New York is a great place to meet new people and there will be "a little bit of the love talk" on the new podcast.

"There's a good sense of optimism that you're going to meet someone [in NYC]," Peter said. "I'm just meeting people, having a good time and building my community."

For Dustin's part, the 32-year-old real estate broker said he "always knew" he loved New York.

"I've been having a blast meeting all these different people, exploring, seeing all of these new opportunities and I'm really appreciative of it," Dustin told Us. "I think it was just the magic that this city has."

Dustin also said he and Peter are ready and willing to open up about themselves on the podcast and offer their thoughts on other people's issues.

"If someone is very intrigued with our lives and wants to be a part of the podcast and ask us questions or tell us about what's going on in their lives with their love life, we're going to give them some advice," Dustin shared.

"So we're going to try to -- remember we're not very good at it -- but it will be a fun, little spinoff of it. Don't take our advice. We keep striking out!"

Peter initially planned to move to New York City in January with Kelley, but the couple announced their breakup in December 2020.

Peter therefore gushed about how Dustin relocating from Chicago to New York was "a blessing."

"I got super lucky. Sometimes in life it's just like, things happen for a reason. You don't really see it in the moment, but obviously it was a tough time for me," Peter explained to Us.

"I remember the first couple of weeks I was here, I was a little lonely in the apartment and didn't know anyone, and it was completely unfurnished. I was like, 'What am I going to do now?' It was a tough moment, but I got through it and Dustin's an amazing friend."

"Bachelors in the City" will reportedly be available for download on podcast apps including iTunes and Spotify.

Kelley revealed during a March episode of Off the Vine with Kaitlyn Bristowe that she and Peter officially called it quits on their relationship around Valentine's Day in February after briefly trying to work things out.

Kelley said the pair "don't speak" at all now and she doesn't envision being in communication with him going forward.

"[I need to] move on. My past is my past, focusing on the future," Kelley told the Season 11 The Bachelorette star Kaitlyn Bristowe.

"I don't think it was the healthiest thing for me to keep your past in your future, but I wish him well. We don't communicate."

Kelley suggested Peter had insisted he'd change for her but didn't follow through on his promises.

"On my end, there were just a lot of non-negotiables in the relationship that they essentially were seeming to be worked on or saying that they were going to be worked on or changed, and actions kind of speak louder than words," Kelley admitted.

She added at the time, "There wasn't something massive [that led to our breakup]. Within the relationship, it was fun. It was great, but there was a lot of little things."

An insider previously told Us of the couple, "Their personalities just didn't mix -- that was a big factor for the breakup."

The insider claimed cheating was not a factor in the split, as Peter "would never cheat" on Kelley amid rumors he had been unfaithful.

"They also fought and had many disagreements and didn't see eye to eye at times," the insider said.

Kelley competed on Peter's The Bachelor season, which aired in early 2020, and finished in fifth place. Peter eliminated her right before his Final 4 bachelorettes enjoyed hometown dates.

During The Bachelor's Season 24 finale on March 10, 2020, Kelley -- who was sitting in the audience for the live special -- watched an indecisive Peter break off an engagement to fiancee Hannah Ann Sluss and then reconcile with his supposed true love and runner-up, Madison Prewett.

Peter and Madison never got their relationship off the ground and announced just two days later on March 12 that they were going their separate ways.

After a couple of chance-encounters, like at the Super Bowl in 2020 for instance, Peter and Kelley reunited to quarantine with each other as "friends" in Chicago in late March 2020. They appeared to quarantine with Dustin, allowing the men to become very close after their The Bachelorette stint.

But it didn't take long for romance to develop between Peter and Kelley since they had strong feelings for each other on the show and Peter believed fate had brought them together to begin with.

(Peter and Kelley randomly met in the lobby of a Malibu hotel when they were attending different events before The Bachelor started filming in late 2019.)

Following weeks of dating rumors, Peter and Kelley went Instagram official on May 2, 2020 when "Pilot Pete" posted a photo of the couple embracing in the cockpit of a plane.

Peter and Kelley had agreed last summer they were in no rush to get engaged, tie the knot, or have children.
