The Bachelor spoiler blogger Steve Carbone reported ABC and the show's producers have picked the former The Bachelorette bachelor to serve as the star of Season 24 of The Bachelor in a tweet on Sunday.

"When the 'Bachelor' announcement is officially made (guessing next week or the following), it will be Peter Weber," Carbone wrote.

"Not too surprising. That's who I've said I thought it would be for the last month."

Carbone insisted his announcement "isn't a guess" and he is certain Peter will be The Bachelor's next star.

"This isn't isn't a guess, a prediction, or 'most likely.' It's him," he tweeted.

Peter has been considered one of the frontrunners to be selected as The Bachelor's Season 24 star since he was eliminated by The Bachelorette star Hannah Brown at the Rose Ceremony in which she selected Tyler Cameron and Jed Wyatt as her final two bachelors.

Tyler and Mike Johnson had been considered the other two favorites to be selected to star on the next season of The Bachelor, which will begin filming next month and premiere in January 2020.

Hannah eliminated Mike just before her round of hometown dates with her Final 4 bachelors and he is currently appearing on Bachelor in Paradise, which finished filming in Mexico in late June. (Click here to read spoilers about Mike's fate in Paradise)

Tyler finished as Hannah's runner-up. However, Tyler essentially immediately removed himself from contention when he began a high-profile romance with supermodel Gigi Hadid only days after the finale of Hannah's season of The Bachelorette aired on ABC late last month.

"I know this whole situation didn't work out the way I was hoping, but Hannah truly showed me a different love than I had ever felt," he told People after his elimination aired during Part 1 of The Bachelorette's two-night finale event.

"So it's given me hope that I have more love to find. I wouldn't say no to trying it again because I know the experience works. And I'm hopeful that my person is right around the corner."

Meanwhile, Tyler -- who now appears to have already been talking with Gigi before The Bachelorette finale aired -- had been less clear if he would be interested in The Bachelor role.

"I don't know, I'm all over the map about that one," Tyler told former The Bachelor star Nick Viall during an appearance on his "The Viall Files" podcast immediately after Part 2 of The Bachelorette finale had aired.

"I have a lot of things I have to sit down and think about when it comes to that," Tyler continued.

"It's a lot of responsibility. It's a great opportunity but it comes with a lot of responsibility."
