President Barack Obama has weighed-in on Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey's American Idol feud, saying he's confident they'll sort it out.

"I am confident. I'm all about bringing people together, working for the same cause. So I think both outstanding artists are going to be able to make sure that they're moving forward and not going backwards."
Reports have been circulating for weeks that Carey and Minaj have been going at it on the judging panel -- on and off-camera -- since American Idol began filming its upcoming twelfth season. Their brawls allegedly reached new heights when Carey publicly claimed earlier this month Minaj had threatened to kill her, a claim both Minaj and Idol producer Nigel Lythgoe subsequently denied.
While Obama clearly didn't want to choose a side in the argument, he admitted he's personally closer with Carey.
"Mariah, she's actually done some events for us. I've gotten to know her and [husband] Nick [Cannon]. She's a wonderful lady," said the president. "Nicki I don't know, but I've got her on my iPod."
