Rachel Lindsay's edition of The Bachelorette has begun filming.

Season 13 of The Bachelorette began filming March 16 in Los Angeles, CA, with show creator Mike Fleiss providing fans updates along the way on Twitter.

"I think @TheRachLindsay will be one of the Top 3 Bachelorettes of all time," Fleiss tweeted before filming began. "She is wonderful!!!!"

Fleiss called Lindsay "absolutely breathtaking" and shared some behind-the-scenes photos on the set -- including the mansion's pool, Lindsay sitting in a limo, and 13 diverse "dudes" standing in the mansion's living room having a drink after they introduced themselves to the 31-year-old Dallas attorney on Night 1.

In one picture, Lindsay poses with Fleiss, The Bachelorette host Chris Harrison and another member of the production crew in the famed courtyard of the mansion while wearing a gorgeous, sleeveless, white floor-length gown featuring what appear to be gold embellishments.

Fleiss has live tweeted updates in the form of quick statements such as "almost time" and "let's do it!"

It also looks like the staff enjoyed a cheesecake with strawberries on the first night of taping, allowing Fleiss to make a joke about "beefcake," which, of course, refers to really buff guys.

Lindsay already met four of her The Bachelorette suitors on After the Final Rose earlier this week, including a man named Dean who hilariously told the beauty he's "ready to go black" and "never go back."

Lindsay is the first African-American lead of the entire The Bachelor franchise. Season 18 Latino The Bachelor star Juan Pablo Galavis was as close as the network came to casting a black star.

The new Bachelorette was dumped by Season 21's Bachelor Nick Viall at the end of his round of overnight fantasy suite dates.

Her elimination left Raven Gates and Vanessa Grimaldi in the running for his heart, and the season wrapped earlier this week with Viall proposing to Grimaldi.

Viall had insisted on Instagram that saying goodbye to Lindsay was "one of the most heartbreaking moments" of his life, and the men who will get to date her on The Bachelorette are "so lucky."
