A Los Angeles radio station has suspended right-wing talk show hosts John and Ken for "insensitive" comments on Whitney Houston's drug use.
The pair called Houston a "crack ho" before her death was announced Saturday, the Los Angeles Times reported. The Urban Informer Web site said that after her death they said she had been "cracked out for 20 years" and suggested surprise that she had not died earlier.
While Houston had a history of drug problems and prescription drugs were found in her hotel suite, officials have not given a cause of death yet.
"We made a mistake, and we accept the station's decision," Kobylt said. "We used language that was inappropriate, and we sincerely apologize to our listeners and to the family of Ms. Houston."
The Grammy-winning singer died Saturday at age 48 in Beverly Hills, Calif.
