The Real Housewives of New York City star Ramona Singer has slammed former co-star Jill Zarin for getting all up in her business to stay "relevant" during a very emotional time.

Ramona reportedly filed for divorce from Mario Singer, her husband of over two decades, in light of reports Mario had been cheating on her. When news spread of the couple's separation, Zarin took to Twitter to voice her opinion after getting wind of a domestic dispute during which Mario allegedly assaulted Ramona in their shared Southampton home last weekend.

"I am glad you finally told the truth @ramonasinger," Zarin, who was fired from The Real Housewives of New York City in 2011, tweeted Monday. "I hope he gets what he deserves. Mario CHOKED her."

The New York Post reported Mario, 60, did choke Ramona, 56, after she caught him with a girl in their vacation home, and while she called police to the scene, charges were not filed.

While it's apparent Zarin is attempting to show she supports the split, Ramona is clearly not happy with her, retweeting the following comment.

"Why in the hell is @jillZarin discussing anything at all about @ramonasinger?" the Twitter follower posted. "STFU Jill. You nor your gossip are relevant."

Ramona then followed it up with a tweet of her own, saying, "Think it's sad she feels the need to use my personal business to try to make herself relevant."

Back in October, The Post reported Mario had been dating a young, blonde socialite -- recently identified as Kasey Dexter -- since Summer 2013, knocked her up and paid for her to have an abortion. Dexter was reportedly the girl whom Ramona caught Mario with last weekend.

Ramona has starred on The Real Housewives of New York City since the series premiered in 2008. Zarin was also a member of the original cast and lasted four seasons.

The Real Housewives of New York City will return to Bravo with its sixth-season premiere March 11 at 9PM ET/PT.
