After last week's ratings we wondered if the significant ratings drop for the second episode of NBC's Average Joe 2: Hawaii was a harbinger of things to come, or whether the second installment of the series was just experiencing the same "bump in the road" ratings hiccup as the original series. It appears we now have an answer.

According to preliminary in-home viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research (updated results will be available later this evening), the third episode of Average Joe 2: Hawaii scored its highest numbers yet, with the program's Adults 18-49 demographic rating rising 37% versus last week.

Along with its 5.6 rating, 13 share among Adults 18-49, the program also drew 11.8 million viewers overall. The improved Adults 18-49 score placed the program first in its 10 PM ET time period among Adults 18-49. Among the overall ratings, Average Joe's 7.0/11 placed it second to a repeat episode of CBS' , which scored a 10.6/17.
