The Survivor, The Apprentice, The Contender, Rock Star, On the Lot and Pirate Master producer and former Touched by an Angel star Roma Downey were married at their home in Malibu on Saturday afternoon, People reported Sunday.

"It was wonderful to have shared our big day with our family - Roma, myself, our children and our parents," Burnett told People. "It was so meaningful and so intimate."

The 46-year-old British producer and 47-year-old Irish actress wed during a private ceremony on a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean and exchanged vows in a ceremony officiated by Downey's Touched by an Angel co-star, Della Reese, who is also an ordained minister, People reported.

The wedding was truly a family affair, according to People, as Burnett's sons from a previous marriage -- 13-year-old James and 10-year-old Cameron -- acted as best man and ring bearer, respectively, while Downey's daughter from a previous marriage, 10-year-old Reilly, was a bridesmaid.  Other family members, including Burnett's father and stepmother, were also in attendance.

Following a brief ceremony, which included readings from novels and poems, People reported Downey surprised Burnett with a small plane that flew overhead with a banner that read, "... and they lived happily ever after."  The festivities then proceeded to the Malibu estate's backyard, where a reception complete with seafood, champagne, wedding cake, ice cream and fruit capped off the day.

Burnett and Downey started dating in January of 2004 after being Malibu neighbors "for years," according to People. The couple was engaged last November during a Thanksgiving family vacation in Zihuatenejo, Mexico. With both Pirate Master and On the Lot scheduled to premiere in the next month, Burnett apparently wanted to waste no time on embarking for the honeymoon, as People reported the couple will leave on a 10-day voyage to Jordan and London.
