Representatives for Jennifer Hudson have reportedly denied that the singer will be performing at the upcoming Presidential inauguration of Barack Obama.

Last week, the New York Post reported that the former American Idol finalist would be making her first public performance in two months following the murder of her mother, brother and 7-year-old nephew by singing "The Star Spangled Banner" at Obama's January 20 inauguration.
However, the report has been debunked as untrue by Hudson's representatives, Access Hollywood reported Saturday.
"There is no truth to this," Hudson's representative told Access Hollywood.
The third-season American Idol finalist has been tapped as a singer for an event featuring Obama before. Back in August, she sang the national anthem on the final day of the Democratic National Convention in Denver, CO prior to Obama's acceptance of the party's presidential nomination.

The inauguration denial means that Hudson's return to the stage will likely come at the upcoming MusiCares Person of the Year gala in Los Angeles on February 6, where she will share the bill with Neil Diamond, Coldplay, Adele, Foo Fighters, Josh Groban and Tim McGraw among others.
