Add actress Marlee Matlin to the growing number of celebrities rumored to be participating in Dancing with the Stars upcoming sixth season.

The 42-year-old actress "may take a spin" as a Dancing with the Stars 6 celebrity participant, a "well-placed" source told Entertainment Weekly.
When asked by Entertainment Weekly, Matlin's publicist forwarded all inquiries to ABC and -- as is the show's standard practice -- the network declined to comment on any and all casting.
"There are a lot of rumors floating around out there right now," the ABC spokesperson told Entertainment Weekly.
According to a December In Touch Weekly report, former Will & Grace actor Sean Hayes may also be a part of Dancing with the Stars' sixth season cast. In addition, E! Online gossip columnist Mark Malkin reported last week that Elvis Presley's ex Priscilla Presley has "signed on, or is close to signing on" as a participant and In Touch reported Donald Trump's ex-wife Marla Maples has "landed a spot" on the show.

Additional reports that singer Celine Dion and American Idol judge Paula Abdul are also interested in participating have also emerged, however due to their existing commitments, both are likely long shots to actually appear on the show.
Matlin -- who is almost completely deaf -- won a 1986 Academy Award for Best Actress for her role in Children of a Lesser God. She's since had recurring roles on television in numerous shows, including The West Wing, Picket Fences and My Name is Earl.
Dancing with the Stars 6 will premiere Monday, March 17 at 8PM ET/PT on ABC.
