Dancing with the Stars 2 semi-finalist Lisa Rinna may have failed to win the ABC reality ballroom competition's disco ball trophy, but according to reports, she's going to be walking away with a nice consolation prize: a new job as the third season's co-host.

According to the New York Post, Dancing with the Stars sources are telling the newspaper that 42-year-old Rinna, eliminated in the results show that aired the week before the show's two-part finale, will replace Dancing with the Stars 2 co-host Samantha Harris when the show returns for its third season.
Should the report prove accurate, Rinna will become Dancing with the Stars' third female co-host in as many editions. Former Entertainment Tonight correspondent Lisa Canning co-hosted the show's first season, after which ABC dumped her and replaced her with Harris, previously best known for her work on E! News. "A decision was made to go in a different direction," an ABC spokesperson told Daily Variety when the change was announced in December.
Tom Bergeron -- who has served as Dancing with the Stars' main host for each of its first two editions -- will reportedly return for Dancing with the Stars 3, which is expected to air sometime next fall. In the meantime, the Post reports that Harris may yet resurface elsewhere on ABC -- on Good Morning America, which is said to be considering her for an entertainment correspondent position.
