Lacey Schwimmer is apparently ready to prove dancing isn't her only talent.

The former So You Think You Can Dance finalist and current Dancing with the Stars professional has signed a recording contract with EMC/Bowery to cut an album, Life & Style reported Friday.
"Lacey went into an L.A. studio on October 1 and began work on her debut album, which is due in early 2010. She recorded two potential hit singles during her first two days in the studio," an insider told Life & Style.
"Her music is in a dance-and-pop vein, and one of these songs will definitely be released as a single in November."
The insider -- who claims to have been present at the recording sessions -- said they heard "some rough mixes" of the first two songs.

"They're amazing," the insider told Life & Style. "They really make you want to get up and dance."
Schwimmer wouldn't be the first Dancing with the Stars professional to try her chops at singing.
Two-time Dancing with the Stars professional champ Julianne Hough self-titled debut album dropped at No. 3 on The Billboard 200 and at No. 1 on the Top Country album sales charts after moving 67,000 copies in its first week of release in May 2008.
She subsequently won Top New Artist and Top New Female Vocalist honors at the 44th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards and decided against participating in Dancing with the Stars' currently airing ninth season to instead focus on her music.
