Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt's money-making wheels are always spinning, and the on-again/off-again The Hills couple is apparently interested in starring in their own spin-off of the MTV series.

While Montag said the series may be "down the road," Pratt was overheard at the Kobe Club on Tuesday night pitching the show to MTV programming executive Tony DiSanto, The New York Post reported Friday.
"Spencer was saying, 'I want the world to see the real Heidi and Spencer,' and was emphasizing that the show would be just about them," a source told The Post. "No Lauren Conrad."
Montag and Pratt initially got engaged last May, however they called off the plans to wed in December after several arguments that aired on The Hills centered around planning for their wedding -- as he constantly pestered her about wanting to elope or get hitched overseas while she wanted a more traditional wedding.
So what would a Hills spin-off starring Montag and Pratt entail?
"[Pratt was] suggesting the show go through the whole lead-up to the wedding," the source told The Post. "Finding a wedding planner, hunting for a dress designer, and all the drama that would be part of their wedding plans. The show would be a mix of The Hills meets Newlyweds."
MTV viewers saw how well Newlyweds: Nick & Jessica worked out for its stars Jessica Simon and Nick Lachey.
The series premiered almost immediately following their October 2002 wedding. They separated in November 2005 amidst various rumors they had already lost interest in each other and subsequently filed for divorce that December.
MTV "insiders" told The Post "Heidi and Spencer definitely have a deal in the works with MTV."
"The cast of The Hills -- separately or individually -- is a home run," a source told The Post. "It's their highest-rated show, so everyone wants a piece of it. MTV isn't obsessed with the idea, but they'd be crazy not to do it."
MTV wasn't so quick to own up to the spin-off talks.
"We can't confirm anything," MTV told People in a Friday report.
