The pilot is being produced by Telepictures and will include Gosselin and three fellow moms -- Food Network star Paula Deen, former The Early Show anchor Rene Syler, and Lee Woodruff, the wife of former World News anchor Bob Woodruff.
E! News had reported on Monday that Telepictures -- the same production company behind The Tyra Banks Show and The Ellen DeGeneres Show -- was interested in developing a The View-like morning show with Gosselin and Deen.
"They're looking around and casting for other women to be on the show with them," a source told E! News. "But they want all the women to be moms."
A Telepictures representative would not confirm or deny if the show was being developed.
"We don't comment on any development activity," the representative told E! News.
Gosselin cut her talk show chops earlier this week when she served as a guest co-host on The View -- filling in for regular Elisabeth Hasselbeck, as the former Survivor: The Australian Outback castaway will be on maternity leave until mid-October after giving birth to her third child earlier this month.
Gosselin filed for a no-fault divorce from her husband Jon in June -- on the same day that a heavily-hyped Jon & Kate Plus 8 broadcast featured the Gosselins publicly announcing their separation.
