It reportedly may soon become harder for Kim Kardashian fans to keep up with her.

The former Dancing with the Stars celebrity participant is currently negotiating with E! for Keeping Up With the Kardashians' fifth season -- however the network might not be able to afford her and the reality series could come to an end as a result, RadarOnline reported Monday.

"Kim's advisors feel that it's time to explore bigger deals on bigger networks," a television business insider told RadarOnline.

"She's right to feel like she doesn't need to open up her personal life to make a living on TV. It looks like Kim can make a lot more money than the TV show can pay her, especially through her endorsement deals and doing appearances on bigger network shows."

Since Kardashian sisters Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian are already starring in their own Take Miami spinoff, current options for E! to keep the show in the air include opening its pockets to try and retain Kim or continuing the show with other cast members Kris Jenner, her husband Bruce, and heir younger children Rob, Kendall and Kylie, according to RadarOnline.

"Neither path makes much business sense, especially when the Miami spinoff is doing just fine. The most likely scenario is shutting down the show and focusing on the Miami-Khloe-Kourtney franchise," the insider told RadarOnline.

"It just doesn't make financial sense to pay Kim $300,000 an episode when she can pop in on Khloe and Kourtney free of charge whenever she feels like it. She's got bigger offers and nobody blames her for wanting to take a look at them."

In addition, Keeping Up With the Kardashians' future affects American Idol host Ryan Seacrest -- whose production company is behind the reality series.

"This puts a lot of pressure on both Ryan and E! to come up with another major reality hit before the end of the year," the source told RadarOnline.

"Kardashians has been a huge, star-making show for everyone but if it leaves the air, something will have to come in and pick up the slack, and Ryan is too intense a competitor to leave that task to another producer. He wants to prove he has the golden touch."
