Two very different musical worlds almost collided during American Idol's sixth-season finale last Wednesday night, as seventh-place finisher Sanjaya Malakar was reportedly confirmed to perform alongside Ozzy Osbourne.

Instead of performing alongside "The Prince of Darkness" and former star of MTV's The Osbournes reality series, Malakar had to settle for a duet with Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry (or maybe it was Perry who settled for any publicity he could get by appearing on the Idol 6 finale).
While Osbourne and Malakar didn't perform together -- and apparently if Osbourne has his way, they never will -- the two do share at least one commonality. Malakar was a guest at this year's White House Correspondents' Dinner, as was Osbourne in 2002. However the two probably had two totally different experiences at the event.
"[I was] absolutely f**king loaded... Yeah, um, I was f**king out of my tree. I was absolutely f**king loaded," said Osbourne in the June issue of Details, according to The Post.
