Paula Abdul has apparently become a hot commodity.

The new reality series would follow Abdul and High School Musical director Kenny Ortega as they choreograph mass dances in public locations, according to TheWrap.com, which added the series would be produced by The Biggest Loser's 3 Ball Productions production company.
In addition, a source told TheWrap.com that the reality series is "way beyond" a flash mob dance show.
"This is enormous dance performance, far beyond what you'd expect to be able to do on television," added the source.
The project was pitched a couple months ago, according to TheWrap.com, which reported that 3 Ball rented out a restaurant and staged a large production number for networks -- with So You Think You Can Dance choreographers Napoleon and Tabitha D'umo choreographing the piece.
While "several networks" were in attendance to watch the sales pitch, TheWrap.com reported that NBC "jumped hardest" because programming executive Paul Telegdy liked the show's uniqueness.
However the show's ability to stand out might not be as strong now as it was then, as The CW reportedly began developing One Mass Dance -- which would follow choreographers as they travel to three different cities to assemble large dance teams -- earlier this month.
Last week, it was reported that ABC had made a "rich offer" to Abdul for her to serve as a host and judge on an upcoming Star Search revival. However Abdul reportedly rejected the offer, much to the surprise of ABC.
