Hopefully thick skins were part of the skills that Grease: You're the One that I Want winners Laura Osnes and Max Crumm developed while competing on the recently concluded NBC reality competition series.

Instead, according to a Wednesday report in The New York Post (written by a clearly anti-Grease theater columnist who also alleges that "the Broadway community despised You're the One That I Want") some Grease fans would rather see runner-ups Austin Miller and Ashley Spencer take the stage as respective members of the T-Birds and Pink Ladies.
"There was a bit of a frenzy because a lot of people wanted Austin and Ashley to win," a source told The Post columnist, adding that phones at Ticketmaster were "ringing off the hook" following NBC's Grease finale on March 26. "They wanted their money back."
Instead of Miller, a 30-year-old former Days of Our Lives actor from Alvin, TX, and Spencer, a 21-year-old cocktail waitress from Massillon, OH, ticket-holders for the Broadway revival of Grease will get Osnes, a 20-year-old actress from Eagan, MN, and Crumm, a 21-year-old gym receptionist from Phoenix, AZ.
While The Post columnist reported a source told them "extra people had to be added to the phone banks to handle the calls" for refunds, a spokesman for the show denied there was a "substantial number of calls" for refunds and added advance ticket sales "continue to grow."
The Grease revival is scheduled to officially open on Broadway on Thursday, August 16 following more than three weeks of preview performances.
