Vienna Girardi's Monday night split from Jake Pavelka was reportedly several days in the making.

"She had been planning this since last week," a source told E! News on Wednesday.

"She called Jake on Monday night to tell him about the Star magazine article and tell him she was leaving," the source told E! News about a tell-all interview Girardi allegedly conducted "hours" before she moved out of the former couple's Los Angeles apartment and left Pavelka a goodbye letter.

"He didn't know anything about it until then and they broke up on that phone call."

The former The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love couple then issued a Monday night statement confirming their split.

"She was totally moved out of their apartment by Tuesday morning," a source told E! News.

Pavelka and Girardi's confirmation came after Girardi was seen getting cozy with Greek actor Gregory Michael while attending a children's hospital prom near Los Angeles on Saturday.  According to Michael -- who has claimed he only met Girardi that night -- she told him she was already single and no longer with Pavelka.

Girardi and Michael were then seen kissing at a public beach party event in Santa Monica on Sunday while she was still wearing her engagement ring from Pavelka.

Although it was originally reported that Pavelka had initiated the split because he felt Girardi was cheating with Michael, Girardi claims she ended the relationship because the couple hadn't been "intimate" in more than four months.

"At first his excuse was that he was fasting. The second excuse was that he didn't feel like it. And the third excuse was that he said that he felt that I wouldn't understand that he wants to wait until marriage, even though I told him I'd support him," she told Star in the interview.

"Then the last excuse was that we fight so much that I push him away. I was like, really -- which excuse is it? I literally have been living six months with this guy who won't be intimate with me!"

In her interview, Girardi supported her stepmom's claim that Pavelka was only affectionate with her in public.

"He kisses me only if we're on a red carpet or if cameras are there," Girardi told Star.

"Besides that, I have to ask for a kiss -- and if I do he'll pucker his lips and just peck me. I'm like, that's how I kiss my grandmother!"

On Tuesday, Pavelka said he was "saddened" by the split but claimed the two will "remain friends."
