Robby Hayes wants to make one thing clear after his stint on The Bachelorette -- he never threatened his ex-girlfriend Hope Higginbotham.

On The Bachelorette: The Men Tell All, the season's infamous villain Chad Johnson told the world Hayes threatened his ex-girlfriend of nearly four years not to talk to anyone about the demise of their relationship or conduct any interviews with the press.
Johnson, who recently dated Higginbotham to seemingly upset Hayes, insisted the former competitive swimmer from Florida warned his ex to keep quiet or else, "I'll come get you." Johnson told host Chris Harrison that Higginbotham herself was the source of all this information and Hayes was desperate to cover up his tracks.
"That was a lie," Hayes told Reality TV World in a Tuesday interview.
"I haven't spoken a word to [Hope] or her family or her friends since we broke up. I actually called her roommate. It was actually three days after The Men Tell All. She sent me a long, genuine text apologizing to me because she had come up in my hometown [date] when my mom told me about all the rumors that were going around."

JoJo Fletcher's runner-up on The Bachelorette continued, "So, I called her back to thank her for apologizing, but that was three days after The Men Tell All. So any contact, there was none! Any threats, there weren't any."
Hayes reiterated how there have been many false accusations out there about him and his past.
"The rumors I heard when I got back home that I left [Hope] to go on the show -- or that I was still dating her during the show -- and then what she did with Chad, having him fly her out to Tulsa just to use her as a publicity stunt, and then that one Instagram post she did on that Monday night, directly tagging me in it, I have never responded."
Johnson shared a montage of images on Instagram in June of himself making out with Higginbotham on two separate occasions. Johnson made her out to be the victim, alleging that Hayes was completely insincere on The Bachelorette and broke the girl's heart just to become famous.
"I've always stayed silent, stayed respectful and taken the high road," Hayes said, "because I don't want to stoop down to her level or Chad's level and become part of that."
