Russell Kairouz became the eighth houseguest evicted from Big Brother's eleventh season during last night's live broadcast of the CBS reality show.

Jeff had originally nominated Natalie Martinez, a 24-year-old Tae Kwon Do champion from Gilbert, AZ, and Kevin Campbell, a 29-year-old graphic designer from Chula Vista, CA, for eviction during Sunday's night's broadcast -- however he made it clear that they were just pawns and he intended to backdoor Russell unless he won Power of Veto.
But it was Jeff who was able to win the PoV during Tuesday night's broadcast. He realized he could either backdoor Russell and split up their Final 4 alliance with Jordan Lloyd, a 22-year-old waitress from Matthews, NC, and Michele Noonan, a 27-year-old neuroscientist from Pasadena, CA, or keep his original nominees.
Jeff decided to backdoor Russell once Natalie and Kevin promised that they wouldn't put him on the chopping block if they won the subsequent HoH.
"If I win [HoH] next week, not only are you not my target, but I won't even put you up," promised Natalie.
"I can not go up," reiterated Jeff.
"100% deal," replied Natalie.
Despite making the deal, Natalie and Kevin had no intention of keeping Jeff safe regardless of his decision to backdoor Russell.
"We have to put up Jeff," Natalie privately told Kevin. "If we don't put up Jeff next week, one of us will go home."
Even before being backdoored, Russell was uneasy and thought Jeff might break their alliance.
"Do you think Jeff would keep [Kevin and Natalie] here and send one of us home?" he asked Michele.
"I don't know," she answered.

During Tuesday night's PoV ceremony, Jeff removed Kevin from the block and replaced him with Russell.
"Myself, Natalie and Kevin came to a deal that if one of them would win HoH next week, I would not be going up in any shape or form," said Jeff in the Diary Room. "Russell's a smart player, he's a strong competitor. I've got to take out a big competitor when I have the chance and hopefully the votes come through and he goes home Thursday."
Russell said Jeff's move showed he couldn't be trusted.
"I'm so pissed," said Russell. "They picked the wrong guy."
Pleased with their ability to break-up the Final 4 alliance, Kevin reiterated his and Natalie's plan to Jordan.
"If we win HoH, you guys are so safe," Kevin told Jordan.
"Kevin and I are allies. We do have a Final 2 deal," said Natalie in the Diary Room. "Jordan does not know Kevin and I are planning on coming after Jeff next week if we win."

The two continued to bicker in the backyard before Jordan got involved. Jordan explained to Russell that he was just sore because he knew that Jeff's decision to backdoor him was a good move. Russell called Jordan a "lap dog" and accused her of fighting Jeff's battles for him.
"Russell exploding like that was not a surprise to me, but it does in a way help me because it shows his colors again," explained Jeff. "Who wants to save a guy who blows up all the time. Get it out while your voice is loud because you've only got a couple days left."
After the bickering calmed down, Russell approached Kevin and asked him to consider voting to evict Natalie -- which was desperate since Natalie and Kevin have an alliance and a plan to get rid of Jeff.
"He's basically saying he would not come after me if he stays in this house," said Kevin in the Diary Room. "I can't stand the guy, but at this point it's about who can get you further in this game... There's two very interesting offers... At this point, I really don't know what to do."
Russell decided to make one last stand on his final day in the house by attempting to verbally engage Jeff again. However Jeff wouldn't take the bait, so Russell instead turned his attention to Jordan. While Jordan reiterated she wasn't afraid of Russell, he called her fat and made her irate. Jordan bumped Russell but Jeff was able to calm her down and remind her that Russell was as good as gone.
Before the live eviction during last night's broadcast, home viewers got their first glimpse inside the jury house when Lydia Tavera arrived after being evicted during last Thursday night's episode. She was met by Jessie Godderz -- a former ally whom she was upset with for playing her against Natalie when they were all still in the house.
The two eventually reconciled and watched video footage of Chima Simon being expelled from the Big Brother house after several rules violations. Jessie also saw Lydia's eviction and realized how good of a player Jeff was.
"There's a new cowboy in town and his name is Jeff," said Jessie. "If he goes to the end, I might feel so inclined to vote for him and give him half a million dollars myself."
The live portion of the broadcast then resumed and Natalie and Russell made their final pleas.
"To my fellow houseguests, you guys have all told me that you will not be voting to evict me today so I would just like to thank you in advance for keeping me in this house," Natalie boldly stated.
"Russell, take your best shot," said host Julie Chen.
"It looks like a lost cause after that speech," began Russell.

Jordan, Kevin and Michele all voted to evict Russell, who somewhat surprisingly gave everybody a hug before exiting the house.
Julie asked Russell about being blindsided Jeff.
"I think a lot of it probably had to do with Michele going up there and influencing them. I think maybe they thought I was a big threat to them," he replied. "I know they did."
Russell added he didn't do a good enough job "disguising" his gameplay or "making deals elsewhere." Julie asked Russell if he would have been loyal to the Final 4 deal if he had stayed in the house.
"I was actually going to uphold my Final 4 deal," he answered. "Then at that point, join forces with Michele. That was my ultimate plan... I actually think Michele's a smarter competitor, and I feel with Michele on my side, it would be a pretty easy way to take out Jeff and Jordan."
Julie also asked Russell if he thought it was a good move on Jeff's part to backdoor him.
"Absolutely," replied Russell. "He did the smartest thing in the game, and it was to take me out. I'm the biggest threat to him, and I knew that. The one thing I tried to do was rial him up a little bit, get some emotion, get him to say some things that would incriminate him among the house."
Following Russell's eviction, the five remaining houseguests -- minus Jeff, who as the outgoing HoH, was deemed ineligible to compete -- competed in the season's next HoH competition.
Dubbed "The S'more, the Merrier," each houseguest would have to use an eight-ounce cup to fill up a 16-gallon vat with "hot chocolate" by running back and forth across a slippery walkway, putting enough hot chocolate into their vat so that a "marshmallow" floats to the top of the vat. The first player to get their marshmallow out would win HoH.
While the results of the challenge are already known to the show's 24/7 live Internet feed viewers, CBS will reveal the winner during Sunday night's Big Brother 11 broadcast. (If you don't want to wait until then to find out what happened, highlight the area below.)
Kevin won the challenge and became the next HoH.
