Ryan Lochte is going to be a first-time dad.
"My Christmas gift came early this year, can't wait for next year! Best news I've ever received #CLOUD9 #excited #family #love #2017," he captioned a picture of himself kissing Reid's baby bump.
"Just when you think you have it all figured out, life always surprises you with blessings when least expect it. So excited to share this news with all of you! #weareprego #omg #2017," Reid added on her own account.
The recent "Dancing with the Stars" contestant and Reid, a 25-year-old model, got engaged in October after less than a year of dating.
The swimmer surprised Reid with a private helicopter tour of Los Angeles before proposing at Malibu Canyon, according to People."Speechless. Absolutely beautiful. So in love with YOU," Reid wrote on Instagram at the time.
Lochte and Reid had both voiced their desire for children in an interview with Us Weekly in October.
"It's another thing we have in common: We both wants kids, we want to create a family of our own, and I think that's something that's really important to us as well," Lochte added.
Lochte is a 12-time Olympic gold medalist who last competed in the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio. He became a center of controversy at the games after he falsely claimed he and three other American swimmers had been pulled over and robbed.
