Ryan Lochte has become a first-time dad.
The 32-year-old Olympic swimmer and former "Dancing with the Stars" contestant confirmed on Twitter that fiancee Kayla Rae Reid gave birth to son Caiden Zane on Thursday.
"Never seen a miracle happen before. Until this morning at 5:46 am when CAIDEN ZANE LOCHTE was born. 7lbs 14 oz, 22 inches. can't stop crying from tears of joy. Dream come true!" he wrote.
Lochte announced Reid's pregnancy in December after getting engaged to the 25-year-old model in October.
He told Us Weekly prior to his engagement that he and Reid share a desire for children.
"We both want kids, we want to create a family of our own, and I think that's something that's really important to us as well," the star said.
The former "What Would Ryan Lochte Do?" reality show star confessed in an interview with People in January that he was nervous about becoming a dad.
"One of my biggest fears in life is not being a good dad. I want to be able to be there every step of the way and teach them all of the things I've learned through my career and my life and be there for them," he said.
Lochte is a 12-time Olympic gold medalist who competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio last August and then competed on "Dancing with the Stars" last fall.
