American Idol's sixth season ended weeks ago, but the lack of a camera apparently hasn't deterred the playful banter between host Ryan Seacrest and judge Simon Cowell.

The banter began with Seacrest saying that Cowell -- whose also created and produces ABC's American Inventor, NBC's America's Got Talent and Britain's The X-Factor -- "believe[s] that [he's] created everything for all of us."
"Everything good goes to you," Seacrest explained to Cowell on Tuesday, according to Us. "[So] if there's any hiccup along the way, we are [also] obligated to blame you. You want the credit, you get the blame."
"When I'm allowed more airtime," Cowell reportedly fired back, "we get 34 million viewers. When I say nothing and you're talking, we get 12 million less." Apparently having learned from his six-years of working with Cowell on Idol, Seacrest was quick to respond.
"There's a little bit of an ego getting out of control with you," Seacrest told Cowell, according to Us.
However Cowell, apparently feeling like a comedian, quickly fired back at Seacrest.
"I offered you Romania's Got Talent and you declined!" Cowell said "with a hearty laugh," according to Us.
But Seacrest was apparently able to get in the last word, throwing his cameo in the new film Knocked Up into Cowell's face.
"I know you're upset they didn't ask you to be in Knocked Up," he told Cowell, according to Us. "It's okay that [director] Judd Apatow didn't call you. You can't be everywhere all the time. You're one old man!"
