Ryan Seacrest and Simon Cowell seemed to be part of a comedy routine instead of a reality competition series during Tuesday night's live performance episode featuring American Idol's sixth-season finalists.

"I would have to say the high heels and these dresses," answered Doolittle, which drew a laugh from the studio audience. "I like my tennis shoes and my sweat pants."
As the laughter died down, Seacrest asked Cowell, "Simon, any advice on the high heels?" Never lost for words, Cowell answered, "You should know Ryan." Not missing a beat, Seacrest said, "Stay out of my closet." Cowell fired back, "Well, come out." On his toes, Seacrest's next response even drew laughter from Cowell.
"This is about the Top 12... not your wishes," said Seacrest to Cowell as Doolittle held her head in her hands.
Just in case any viewers thought Cowell and Seacrest were harboring any real ill-will towards each other, Seacrest made sure to clear the air.
"We're friends," he said before Doolittle was finally able to perform.
Hopefully Cowell and Seacrest find time in their busy schedules to audition for the upcoming season of NBC's Last Comic Standing.
