Ryan Seacrest said he's uncomfortable watching episodes of American Idol Rewind -- and it's not just because he sees himself standing next to Brian Dunkleman.

American Idol Rewind is a syndicated version of the Fox mega-hit that is currently airing episodes from the reality competition series' first season. Seacrest co-hosted Idol's debut season with Dunkleman -- who left the show to "pursue other ventures" -- but the familiar faces of judges Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul and Simon Cowell are also there.
"I look back at it and I have a laugh and really enjoy the way we looked, the things that we said," Seacrest told the Post. "My hair and my clothes are embarrassing at times, I can't believe I went out of the house that way."
Presumably, Seacrest doesn't have much time to catch Rewind, as Idol keeps rolling along with its sixth season. With auditions and the Hollywood Round out of the way, the Top 24 will begin performing this week with the first four semi-finalists being eliminated on Thursday night based on viewers' votes.
"For me this is the best part of the series," Seacrest told The Post. "I've been thinking about this for the last few days, we - Randy, Paula, Simon and me - have all really developed our roles on the show. Everybody knows what their role is, everybody does their job. We don't have to over-think anything, as a matter of fact we don't think about anything. We show up, we go live, we do our jobs, have a laugh and then go to dinner."
In addition to hosting Idol, Seacrest is also busy hosting his America's Top 40 radio program, appearing on E! News and producing a new reality series for E! called Paradise City. Created by Seacrest and some of the producers from MTV's Laguna Beach, Paradise City follows 13 twenty-somethings living in Las Vegas. The eight-episode series is scheduled to premiere on E! on Sunday, March 4 at 10:30PM ET/PT.
"Clearly the fact that we're talking about a series that Simon Cowell is not part of will make him jealous and ruin his day so I can only say 'Thank you,'" Seacrest told The Post.
