Ryan Seacrest says he is not engaged to professional dancer Julianne Hough, contrary to rumors suggesting he is.

"The only way we're going to make any news is if you admit you're engaged to Julianne Hough," "GMA" interviewer George Stephanopoulos told Seacrest, who appeared on the show to promote his "New Year's Rockin' Eve" and "American Idol" programs.
"I will give you breaking news," Seacrest said. "The breaking is news that I'm not. I'm not engaged. But I'm very happy."
Hough is a former pro dancer on "Dancing with the Stars." She also recently recorded a country music album and is set to star in the remake of the movie "Footloose."
