Salley Carson was selected by ABC to compete for Clayton Echard's heart on The Bachelor's 26th season.

Salley is a 26-year-old spine surgery robot operator from Charlottesville, VA, who is hoping to end up with Clayton.

The Bachelor's 2022 edition is set to premiere on Monday, January 3 at 8PM ET/PT on ABC.

Salley was one of 31 bachelorettes chosen to appear on Night 1 of The Bachelor's 26th season, but ABC listed her in its cast announcement as "previously engaged."

According to the network, Salley hates cotton balls and can't be near them. She is also obsessed with hot tubs, which would be a good date idea for The Bachelorette.

Salley Carson began her career in medical robotics in 2018

After attending Medical Sales College in Colorado for four months in 2017, Salley began working for Medtronic in February 2019 as a clinical specialist.

Salley was then promoted to Associate navigation and robotics consultant in April 2019.

She considers herself a real-life Meredith Grey looking for her McDreamy.

Salley's engagement was extremely recent -- and her wedding to another man was reportedly called off just before she went on The Bachelor!

Reality Steve spoiler blogger Steve Carbone tweeted on September 25 how news about one woman "floored" him.

"Salley Carson was engaged & having her bachelorette party a month ago," Carbone wrote at the time.

"She was set to be married TOMORROW [September 26] but wedding was called off a couple weeks ago. Now she's on The Bachelor ha ha."
