The Gulls are a minor league hockey affiliate of the NHL's Anaheim Ducks team, which drafted Nic in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.
Savannah, 20, shared several photos and videos of the couple and had very sweet things to say about Nic while wishing him a happy 24th birthday.
"HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the kindest, funniest, loving, most selfless person @nickerdiles. I hope you have the most amazing day ever! and I'm sorry I can't be there," Savannah captioned her post.
"But I do wanna take a second to say... It's kinda crazy how God works! After spending months of focusing on ME... you came along. Thank you for always putting a smile on my face even when we're thousands of miles away from each other!"
The blonde beauty continued, "Thank you for respecting me the way that all men should respect women... and above all else... thank you for your selfless, patient, kind, and loving heart!! You're a good one! Oh... and that smile!!! You can kill me later for that last video. Happy Birthday!!"
The last video Savannah was referring to showed Nic belting out "She Will Be Loved" by Maroon 5 while driving his car.
Nic also decided to introduce Savannah to his followers on Instagram, posting a black-and-white photo of the couple cuddling with the following caption: "Hey.. sooo.. I guess you're kind of alright..."
Savannah's new romance blossomed within five months of her calling it quits with NBA player Luke Kennard, whom she had called her boyfriend in June 2017.
Savannah and Luke broke up in August of last year after dating for four months.
"Obviously, any breakup you go through, it's going to be hard, especially when it's in the public eye and people are watching. I love putting things on social media, so it was all over social media," Savannah told told E! News in November. "That's my fault at that point, but I'm great today."
Savannah acknowledged, however, that through her dating mistakes and heartbreak, she learned exactly what she does and does not want in a significant other.
