Sean Lowe is a traditionalist when it comes to the groom's role in his wedding.

"I know that the wedding is all about the woman," the former The Bachelor star told Extra of his live January 26 televised wedding to Catherine Giudici on ABC.    

"When she asks for my opinion I will give it."

The couple's wedding planner is Mindy Weiss, who was behind Gwen Stefani and Ellen DeGeneres' weddings, and their hairstylist is Jose Eber.

"We have an amazing team, like Mindy, helping us put this all together," Lowe noted.

The upcoming event will be a "grown-sexy theme celebration," according to Extra.

"The wedding is a new chapter of being grown up and sophisticated," Giudici said.

"Everyone knows how silly and goofy we are, so she wanted it to be sexy and cool," Lowe added.

"We'll start off with the ceremony which is bringing the living room outside," Weiss elaborated. "We're mixing eclectic furniture, even bringing in chandeliers that will sit outside in the garden."

As for the wedding cake, Giudici said she'd love to have "white cakes with berries" although Lowe chimed in saying, "I'm a chocolate guy."

Giudici will apparently be showing off her long brunette hair in a couple of different ways at her wedding.

"We're going to end up with two looks basically. One of them for the ceremony and one of them for the reception," Eber told Extra of the bride.

Both Lowe and Giudici said they invited former The Bachelor and The Bachelorette alumni to share the special experience with them.

"A lot of my guys that I was on The Bachelorette with will be there, John Wolfner and Charlie Grogan... [Arie Luyendyk Jr.] and [Jef Holm] and those guys," Lowe revealed.

"One of my bridesmaids is actually Leslie Murphy," Giudici noted.

Lowe and Giudici couple got engaged in November 2012 when they filmed Lowe's seventeenth-season The Bachelor finale, which aired in March.

The pair celebrated their engagement party in October in Seattle, sent out their "save the date" wedding cards in November, mailed out their actual wedding invitations shortly afterwards, and finally celebrated separate bachelor and bachelorette parties earlier this month.

Lowe and Giudici's ceremony will mark the first time in the history of the show's franchise a couple will exchange vows in real time on television, as all previous weddings have aired pre-taped on ABC.

Lowe and Giudici will also be the first The Bachelor couple to wed on TV, as former The Bachelorette stars Ashley Hebert and Trista Rehn had been filmed walking down the aisle before them.
