Heyward, a writer and producer, died at age 30 on Saturday from alleged substance abuse. Like Sangouthai, Heyward was also one of Khloe Kardashian's friends.
The Los Angeles County Coroners office has reportedly declined to reveal the official cause of Heyward's death. Authorities believe Sangouthai had passed away about a week prior from a heroin overdose, TMZ reported.
According to an Us source, Odom, 35, is "beside himself" over the fact he's lost two significant people in his life in such a short period of time.
Just four days ago, Heyward posted a photo of his boys on Instagram -- which included Odom -- and wrote a message to Sangouthai. It was Heyward's very last post on social media.
"#RIP To my big brother Jamie who always brought light into any room he walked into and laughter as well at all times J you will always be missed. Family for life. #BandOfBrothers #tbt," Heyward had captioned the picture.
Kardashian and other people close to Odom had reportedly feared Sangouthai was fueling Odom's own issues with drugs. It's possible Heyward might've played a role in that as well.
Reports Odom had a serious drug problem that strained his marriage to Kardashian first surfaced in August 2013 and followed claims he had repeatedly cheated on the reality star. Kardashian then filed for divorce in December of that year.
Odom had been at the center of controversy for months for a DUI charge, allegedly binging on crack cocaine and being in and out of rehab. Kardashian's divorce filing was dismissed in April due to her inactivity and failure to submit all necessary paperwork on time.
