Wednesday, June 6 at 9PM ET/PT.

While it aired on Thursday nights during its debut Spring 2006 season, American Inventor will be part of ABC's new Wednesday night lineup this summer, where it will air following the new reality series The Next Best Thing: Who is the Greatest Celebrity Impersonator? and before the network's new Traveler drama.

Similar to American Inventor 2's search for America's best new invention will take place in various cities across the country. Then, after the judges narrow the field to group of finalists, viewers will cast their votes for the invention they feel is most worthy of the show's grand prize -- $1 million dollars and the opportunity for the winning inventor to market their product worldwide.

Janusz Liberkowski, a 52-year-old mechanical engineer who created the Anecia Survival Capsule spherical safety seat, was crowned the winner of American Inventor's first season last May.

American Inventor is produced by FremantleMedia North America, Cowell's Syco Television and Peter Jones TV Ltd.  Cowell, Cecile Frot-Coutaz, Siobhan Greene, Peter Jones and Clay Newbill are executive producers. Dug James and Tabitha Hansen are co-executive producers.
