Matt has said he can envision himself dating Serena P. long-term and being very happy with her, and after a bowling group date, Serena P. confessed to Matt that she was "falling for [him]."

Matt, however, has only told Rachael Kirkconnell that he's "falling in love" with her so far this season.
Matt apparently needed to spend more time with Serena P. to see if they could move their relationship out of "the friendzone." Matt had been waiting to experience "a breakthrough moment" with the bubbly bachelorette.
After an awkward tantric yoga one-on-one date that left Serena feeling uncomfortable, she and Matt bonded like never before when Serena P. admitted she didn't enjoy the date and Matt learned how "authentic and real" she is.
Serena P. made it clear she's not willing to sugarcoat things just to please Matt.
Matt expressed how he had strong feelings for Serena P., and she in turn said she was "falling for" The Bachelor star and felt ready to take the next step and have him meet her family.
Matt therefore gave Serena P. a very meaningful rose, saying, "I am very much looking forward to meeting your family."

Serena P. was a swimming instructor at Superfin Aquatics in Markham, Ontario for two years and four months beginning in 2017. She taught swimming classes to kids, teens and adults.Not only is she certified as a swim instructor and lifesaving instructor, but she's also a licensed emergency first-aid instructor.
The bachelorette does not consider herself a casual dater
Serena P. has only been in one serious relationship prior to appearing on The Bachelor. Prior to working for MacIntyre Communications, Serena was a part-time brand ambassador for Cotton Candy Event Staffing Inc. She worked there for one year and eight months.Serena also landed an internship at LOCAL Life Magazine in Hilton Head, SC, which lasted for four months.
Back in 2018-2019, Serena was a campus ambassador at Wilfrid Laurier University. She provided campus tours and worked at open houses.

The bachelorette was on the dance team in college
Serena was a member of the Wilfrid Laurier University Competitive Dance Team.She also used her dance skills to make some money! Serena taught dance classes part-time at Vlad's Dance Company for children ages 3-9 from 2014-2015.
