Magrane sang her version of "One Sweet Day" Thursday night before being told she had been voted off the singing competition.
"It's definitely upsetting knowing that you have come this far and it has to end here," Magrane told Us Weekly after the show.
"But thinking about it, out of 121,000 people who auditioned for 'American Idol,' I am in the top 11. So I am really proud of myself. ...This is just the beginning for me."
Contestant Jermaine Jones was booted from the show Wednesday night after producers confronted him on camera and said there were several warrants out for his arrest.
