Shayne Lamas is back breathing on her own in the hospital following a pregnancy complication which resulted in a miscarriage, according to her husband Nik Richie.

"Shayne is breathing on her own now and doing better; we have high hopes for a speedy recovery. At this time we are still trying to process everything that happened and we thank everyone again for giving us this time to heal." Richie, who has a two-year-old daughter named Press Dahl with Lamas, told Us Weekly in a statement.

"We would like to thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts for the immense support we have received from our family, friends, fans, and media. It is really amazing how everyone has come together for Shayne, Press, and I during this extremely difficult time."

Richie reportedly said Lamas, a 28-year-old former Leave it to Lamas star and The Bachelor: London Calling bachelorette, underwent "life-saving emergency surgery" and was "on a ventilator system" after she had collapsed in her Orange County home on Sunday night.

Lamas, who was 16 weeks pregnant with her second child at the time of her collapse, suffered from internal bleeding around her uterus and miscarried after the operation, People reported.

"We are so grateful that my daughter, Shayne Lamas-Richie, is conscious and stable. She is not in a coma, however she did miscarry the child she was carrying," Lamas' father Lorenzo told People on Monday.

"We are so very grateful to the hospital personnel and the doctors who saved her life last night. Shayne is aware of her condition and that her family and her husband are here with her and love her so much. She will be remaining in the hospital until her doctors determine that she can be released."

Lamas and Richie, whose real name is Hooman Karamian, welcomed Press Dahl in November 2011. Lamas announced her first pregnancy in April 2011.

The couple wed in a quickie Las Vegas wedding in April 2010 just days after they met.

Lamas was previously engaged to the former The Bachelor: London Calling star Matt Grant after accepting his final rose and a marriage proposal during the show's pre-taped May 2008 finale. However, the pair split two months later after a report that Lamas had cheated on Grant -- in Vegas, ironically -- surfaced.
