Skating with the Stars eliminated Olympic gold-medal skier Jonny Moseley and professional partner Brooke Castile during Monday night's live broadcast on ABC, determining the ice dancing competition's two finalist pairs.

Moseley and Castile became the fourth couple ousted from the competition based on the combination of the Skating with the Stars judges' scores they received during Monday night and last week's performance shows and the votes home viewers cast following the competition's two previous Monday night broadcasts.

"I guess I'm a little surprised," Moseley said following his elimination.

"I think Jonny's amazing. I think he did such a great job and he's what this competition is all about, and I could not be more proud of him. He's been the best person to teach and he's amazing," Castile added.

"Brooke, that was just an amazing experience and I really appreciate how much effort you put in to make me a better skater and I really enjoy spending time with you, and you're a great friend," Moseley told Castile.

Moseley and Castile had finished in second place on Monday night's judging leaderboard. The pair received a score of 52 out of 60 possible points from Skating with the Stars judges Johnny Weir, Laurieann Gibson and Dick Button. They also earned a score of eight for their group skate and received an additional 54 out of 60 points during last week's performance, giving them a combined total of 114 points for both weeks.

The Real Housewives of New York City and Bethenny's Getting Married? star Bethenny Frankel and partner Ethan Burgess were the other couple still in danger of elimination prior to Moseley and Castile's ouster, however the Skating with the Stars host Vernon Kay stated the skaters' combined scores rankings were revealed in no particular order -- meaning the pair may not have necessarily been the second lowest couple.

Monday night's broadcast required the skating pairs to perform in a group skate where the judges conferred to give each pair one score from 1-10, and no score could be repeated. Then, each pair performed the "free skate" which featured no rules or required elements to follow, and the celebrities got to choose their music.

The free skate routine was eligible to receive up to 60 possible points from the judges -- 30 points for technical merit and an additional 30 points for artistic impression.

Frankel and Burgess finished in third and last place on the judges' leaderboard after earning 43 points for their free skate and seven points from their group skate -- giving them a total of 50 points for the night. They also received an additional 38 points for their ice dance last week, which earned them a total of 88 points for both weeks.

Actress Rebecca Budig and partner Fred Palascak had finished in first place with a total of 66 points on Monday night's leaderboard, which was a score combined with the nine points they earned from the group skate routine. They received an additional 53 points last week, which gave them a total of 119 points for both weeks.

Skating with the Stars' finale will air on Tuesday, December 21 at 8PM ET/PT on ABC.
