Snooki Polizzi is ringing in the New Year with a new hairdo and a more sober lifestyle.

The Jersey Shore star claims her signature "poof" is no longer in style.

"I'm so over it," Polizzi said during a Wednesday appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

The reality TV star is out with the old and in with the new, and that includes a new outlook on her old partying habits.

"I've actually calmed down on my drinking. I only drank a lot because it was New Years," Polizzi told DeGeneres.

Polizzi also told E! News a similar story earlier this week.

"I try to eat healthy. And um, I just have to quit the drinking so much. If I do drink, it's going to be like vodka and seltzer," Polizzi said during an interview.

But her attempt to cut back on the drinking isn't Polizzi's only New Year's resolution, as she hopes to transform into a healthier more fit version of herself for 2011.

"My number one is definitely to keep up with my training and keep losing weight and getting toned. I feel my legs getting toned again," Polizzi told E! News.

The Jersey Shore star told DeGeneres that in order to get her body back to the way she likes it, she has a personal trainer who she works out with twice a week for one hour, while she also exercises on her own time.

"I like to work my legs because I used to have ripped legs because I was a cheerleader. I used to be 95 pounds and ripped -- like more than [Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino]. So I definitely -- I want to get back to that -- and show him what's up," Polizzi explained.

According to the reality TV star, she is already well on her way, having lost five pounds already in the last three or four weeks.

During her Ellen DeGeneres appearance, Polizzi also gave viewers a description of what they should expect on the third season of Jersey Shore, which premieres this Thursday and will feature Deena Nicole Cortese -- Polizzi's best friend from home -- replacing Angelina Pivarnick as the eighth member of the show's cast.

"The new season is insane. We have a new roommate Deena. She brings the party to the house. She's like me times 10... We'll fight one minute and the next minute, we're like, 'Alright, you want a shot? We're fine.' It's so weird, but I think that's how brothers and sisters are. So that's how we are minus the hookups," Polizzi told DeGeneres.
