Rudy and Tanisha got sent home after they found themselves in the week's bottom-four dancers -- the bottom two guys and the bottom two girls -- based on home viewer votes. Because Rudy and Tanisha were the one male and female polled the lowest, Jacque LeWarne, an 18-year-old Ballet dancer from Clive, IA, and Casey Askew, a 19-year-old Contemporary dancer from Seattle, WA, survived the cut.
Wednesday night's show featured the Top 8 finalists each performing a solo and then a routine with a So You Think You Can Dance all-star for regular judges Nigel Lythgoe and Mary Murphy as well as guest judge Jenna Dewan Tatum.
Rudy and all-star Allison Holker, Season 2's Top 8 finalist, danced a jazz routine. Tanisha and all-star Nick Lazzarini, Season 1's sole winner, performed a contemporary routine.
Jacque and all-star Stephen "tWitch" Boss, Season 4's runner-up, danced a hip-hop number. Casey Askew and all-star Comfort Fedoke, Season 4's Top 8 finalist, also took the stage together with a hip-hop number.
Next week, So You Think You Can Dance's eighth eleventh-season performance show will feature the six remaining finalists dancing again for home viewer votes with a different all-star partner.
Below is the list of So You Think You Can Dance all-star and Top 6 finalist pairings:
- Ricky Ubeda and all-star Anya Garnis (Top 12 finalist on Season 3)
