Alexis Juliano, an 18-year-old tap dancer from Coral Springs, FL, and Curtis Holland, a 19-year-old tap dancer from Miami, FL, were eliminated by So You Think You Can Dance judges Nigel Lythgoe and Mary Murphy as well as guest judge Anna Kendrick after they found themselves in the week's bottom-six dancers based on home viewer votes cast for the Top 14 finalists immediately following last Tuesday night's show.

Makenzie Dustman, an 18-year-old contemporary dancer from Temecula, CA; Alan Bersten, a 19-year-old ballroom dancer from Minnetonka, MN; Nico Greetham, an 18-year-old contemporary dancer from Woodbridge, VA; and Jasmine Harper, a 20-year-old contemporary dancer from Lawrenceville, GA, were the other four bottom-six vote-getting dancers still in danger of elimination prior to Alexis and Curtis' ouster.

The judges chose to save Makenzie right off the bat and then asked the other girls, Alexis and Jasmine, to "dance for their lives."

The judges were required to eliminate one male and one female competitor last night based on their quick "dance for you life" solos and their performances from last night and the week prior. The judges also based their decision on other criteria including what their choreographers had to say about their talent and progress on the show.

Following the two solo performances and the night's rounds of dances, the judges unanimously chose to send Alexis and Curtis home. Alexis was partnered up with Nico, while Curtis was paired with Hayley Erbert, an 18-year-old contemporary dancer from Topeka, KS. However, Curtis injured his shoulder during rehearsal and was unable to dance with Haley this week.

Alexis and Nico had performed a jive last week and a contemporary routine on this week's show. Curtis and Haley performed a contemporary routine last week, and Haley danced the tango this week without him, as all-star Leonardo Barrionuevo filled in as Curtis' replacement.

Makenzie danced with Paul Karmiryan, a 21-year-old Latin ballroom dancer from Glendale, CA. Alan performed with partner Malece Miller, a 19-year-old contemporary dancer from Los Angeles, CA. Jasmine took the stage with Aaron Turner, a 25-year-old tap dancer from Las Vegas, NV.
