Lindsay and Will were eliminated by So You Think You Can Dance judges Nigel Lythgoe and Mary Murphy and guest judge Jesse Tyler Ferguson after they found themselves in the week's bottom-two girls and bottom-two guys based on home viewer votes cast immediately following last week's show, which had featured the season's Top 10 finalists performing and concluded with the ouster of two dancers.

"This journey has meant so much to me. I honestly never thought I'd get to the point where I'm at right now. It's given me so much more confidence. [Witney Carson] and I have been best friends since we were five and it's been so awesome to go through this experience with her. I really hope that America has learned that I am just a fun-loving girl and that this is only the beginning," Lindsay, an 18-year-old Latin ballroom dancer from Provo, UT, said following her ouster.

"I dance because I have to. If you ask any of these cameramen, they know I love the camera. It's awesome. It has been, honestly, the best experience of my life. I don't want to go home!" Will, a 19-year-old contemporary dancer from Troy, MI, explained. "This has been so fun!"

Witney, an 18-year-old Latin ballroom dancer from American Fork, UT, and Cole Horibe, a 26-year-old martial arts fusion dancer from Honolulu, HI, were the other two bottom-four vote-getting dancers still in danger of elimination during Wednesday night's broadcast, but they were saved by the So You Think You Can Dance judges.

The judges were required to eliminate two individuals, one male and one female, from the Top 8 last night based not only upon their performances from last week's show but also their two routines Wednesday night -- one being a solo performance and the other a routine featuring an all-star partner.

The judges didn't require any of the four dancers to perform an additional solo in the typical "dance for your life" round to help them determine which two contestants should remain on the show. When deciding which two dancers should go home, the judges also took into account what the show's choreographers had to say about the dancers' talent, progress and potential in the competition.
