So You Think You Can Dance judges Nigel Lythgoe, Maddie Ziegler, Paula Abdul and Jason Derulo did not have to deliberate or make the elimination decision.
"Ever since I was little, I've always known I would be a dancer. My mom dances, my dad dances. It's kind of like destiny," Ruby said in her final words.
Ruby was paired with SYTYCD All-Star Paul Karmiryan, who said he's "so proud" of her because she "worked so hard to get to this point."
"Ruby has brought so much to this show. She really glows whenever she is onstage and I feel like a lot of dancers don't have that," Paul said in a video package that played in honor of Ruby's time on the show.
Paul then turned to his little partner and told her as she cried, "I am so lucky to have shared this experience with you. You are the best."
During Monday night's show, Ruby performed a well-done but not very memorable Broadway routine with contestant Tahani Anderson, according to Nigel. Ruby also danced a highly-praised jive routine with Paul choreographed by Dancing with the Stars pro Mark Ballas.
Next week marks the milestone 250th show for So You Think You Can Dance. In a special twist, Cat announced the kids will be in charge. Maddie and choreographer Travis Wall will also perform and another The Next Generation dancer must go home.
Last night's results left the remaining five dancers in the Season 13 competition:
- Tahani Anderson, a 13-year-old hip-hop dancer from Hollywood, CA
- Kida Burns, a 14-year-old hip-hop dancer from Sacramento, CA
- J.T. Church, a 10-year-old jazz dancer from Bristow, VA
