So You Think You Can Dance: The Next Generation has signed on Dance Moms star Maddie Ziegler as a judge.

Ziegler, a 13-year-old dancer who has starred in three of Sia's music videos and danced on major stages for television events, will be sitting on the judging panel next to Paula Abdul, Jason Derulo and show creator Nigel Lythgoe when the series premieres Monday, May 30 at 8PM ET/PT on Fox.

Ziegler has appeared on Dancing with the Stars twice and is an aspiring actress who's landed roles on Pretty Little Liars and more.

Ziegler appeared on Lifetime's Dance Moms reality series since it debuted in Summer 2011. However, show star and dance instructor Abby Lee Miller told Extra in February that Ziegler, as well as her mother and sister, will be leaving Dance Moms after the current sixth season -- which premiered on Lifetime on January 5 -- wraps.

It was obvious Ziegler was Miller's favorite young performer on Dance Moms, as she constantly landed major solos and arguably received special treatment. Mothers of other dancers would get angry at Miller for giving Ziegler too much attention or extra opportunities. Ziegler also typically walked away with the most awards at dance competitions.

So You Think You Can Dance's thirteenth season will feature dancers from the ages of 8-13 pairing up with All-Stars and working to become "America's favorite dancer." The young performers will be skilled in various dance styles such as tap, contemporary, hip-hop, ballroom, animation and breaking. Cat Deeley will be reprising her role as host.

Auditions for the new season are already underway. They will take place in Chicago next week on March 11, followed by New York on March 18.

On So You Think You Can Dance: The Next Generation, the most talented young dancers will compete in front of the judges to become a member of "The Academy," where only the best of the best will be selected for the next round of competition. At the end of the round, the Top 10 dancers will be partnered permanently with a show All-Star.

The competition will then move to the SYTYCD studio, where the top next-generation performers will compete each week in a variety of styles with their All-Stars. World-renowned choreographers will create the routines, and one contestant will go home each week until a winner is crowned at the finale.
