The wildfires that are sweeping across Southern California are affecting several reality television stars, some of whom have apparently been forced to take action against the flames that are threatening their homes.

The Hills co-stars Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt were trapped in their Los Angeles-area home by the wildfires on Sunday afternoon, the couple told Ryan Seacrest on Monday morning's broadcast of his KIIS FM radio program, according to People.
"Spencer was literally down there putting out the fire and I was screaming at him, 'Come back here, the firemen are coming!'" Montag told Seacrest. "I was like, 'Oh what have our lives come to!'"
"It was her and I putting out the fire with the [garden] hose until the firemen got there," Pratt told Seacrest, adding Montag had previously called 911. "They were fast."
Once the firemen arrived, Pratt said he and Montag were told to "get out of here" so the flames could be contained and stopped from spreading to surrounding houses.

"The fire is out now," he told Seacrest.
Dancing with the Stars fifth-season celebrity participant Jane Seymour's Malibu home was also among those in danger due to the wildfires.
"As you can see, my husband [James Keach] is not here tonight," she told People prior to Monday night's live Dancing with the Stars performance episode. "The fire is close to our home, and there was a mandatory evacuation. My husband is illegally there, fighting the fire."
Seymour added it took "great difficulty" to focus on performing her rumba routine with professional partner Tony Dovolani.
"I actually decided to abandon my cell phone today," she told People. "I told a friend if there's something I need to know, then let me know."

Tori & Dean: Inn Love co-stars Tori Spelling and Matt McDermott -- who attended Monday night's Dancing with the Stars broadcast to support Jennie Garth, Spelling's former Beverly Hills 90210 co-star -- were also left to wonder about the fate of their home.
"We don't know the extent of it," McDermott told People about the fires affect on Chateau La Rue, the Fallbrook, CA bed-and-breakfast that serves as the setting for their Oxygen docu-reality series. "There were guests on the way [to the B&B], but they were notified and sent back. The whole town of Fallbrook was evacuated."
