Steven Tyler has acknowledged that reports that he is expected to be a member of American Idol's tenth-season judging panel are true.

The Aerosmith singer said his upcoming plans include "recording an album and [I'm] probably going to be [a] judge on American Idol" following his Saturday night concert in Las Vegas, People reported Monday.

Reports that Tyler will be joining American Idol surfaced late Thursday night -- only hours after Fox announced Ellen DeGeneres is "bowing out" of the show and widespread reports that Jennifer Lopez will be replacing her emerged.

Tyler would reportedly be replacing Kara DioGuardi, who unlike fellow remaining Idol judge Randy Jackson, has reportedly been axed from the show and will not be returning.

"Assuming all deals are finalized, the judge's panel will consist of Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler," TMZ reported late Thursday night.  "We're told the only way Kara could get a reprieve is if the J-Lo deal falls apart -- but we're told that deal is done."

Fox has had no comment on reports of Lopez and Tyler's additions or DioGuardi's exit.
