"She's absolutely perfect," John, 32, told People. "Candice and Bixie did wonderfully in the hospital and are home safe and sound."
"Nothing prepares you for the joy of seeing the birth of your baby," added Candice, also 32. "We've never been more in love with each other as we begin this exciting journey as a little family!"
Beatrix Leigh was reportedly born 19.5 inches long and weighing seven pounds and four ounces. She arrived at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington D.C. at 10:25PM.
In 2013, Survivor: Blood vs. Water eliminated Candice, an anesthesiologist, from the game after she lost the season's fourth Redemption Island duel to her husband and another player. John, an orthopaedic surgeon, later lost the season's seventh duel just before the merge, missing out on an opportunity to rejoin the game.
Blood vs. Water was Candice's third stab at Survivor and John's first appearance on the CBS reality show. Candice previously finished in eighth place on both Heroes vs. Villains in 2010 and Survivor: Cook Islands in early 2006, when she was still using her maiden name of Candice Woodcock.
